Even here on Martha's Vineyard, amidst the homes of the wealthy,at least one family in ten needs help.Our missionThe Vineyard Committee on Hunger has been establishedto encourage self-help initiatives and to raise awareness and money to alleviate hunger,particularly childhood hunger, on Martha's Vineyard and worldwide.Our goalsTo provide free food to Vineyard families temporarily in need.To encourage the giving of relief funds through non-profit agencies and other humanitarian channels.To support faith-based and secular organizations which promote education and self-help in those countries where the need is greatest.To encourage active, intelligent, focused participation in the political sphere, where crucial decisions are made.The Vineyard Committee on Hunger is a volunteer organization with no paid staff.Please consider a tax-deductible donation.
